Even though I added the correct syntax I get in task 2 the message "Oops! It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing.”

In task 1 I entered the code:

var answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?);

In task 2 I added the code

if (answer.toUpperCase() === 'JAVASCRIPT')
{
alert("You are correct");
}

I get : "Oops! It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing.”

Help please!

app.js
var answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?');
if (answer.toUpperCase() === 'JAVASCRIPT')
{
alert("You are correct");
}

It seems that using the toUpperCase function causes the 2nd task to fail.

Try this:

var answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?');

if (answer === 'JavaScript')
{
  alert("You are correct");
}

Here is the code that worked for me:

var answer = prompt("What is the best programming language?");

if (answer === "JavaScript") {
    alert("You are correct")
}
