Python Python Basics (2015) Letter Game App Even or Odd Loop

Even.py step 3 : I get the right result but Treehouse's editor keeps rejecting it.

When I preview the script, I get the 'x is odd/even' output and five messages are generated before the While loop breaks.

What formatting issues am I running into here?

Now this is weird.

1: Remove the periods at the end of your print statement. They are not asked for in the challenge.

And now the weird part.

2: When I change your == to a > it passes.

No idea why. :|

Is there a technical reason as to why it has to be changed from '==' to '>'?
