even.py where is the problem?

import random start = 5 while start == True: num = random.randint(1, 99) if even_odd(num) == True: print("{} is even".format(num)) else: print("{} is odd".format(num)) start= start - 1 def even_odd(num): # If % 2 is 0, the number is even. # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not. return not num % 2

even.py
import random
start = 5
while start == True:
    num = random.randint(1, 99)
    if even_odd(num) == True:
        print("{} is even".format(num))
    else:
        print("{} is odd".format(num))
start= start - 1
def even_odd(num):
    # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
    # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
    return not num % 2

I tried changing a little the while condition and I put start decrement inside while loop.

while start>0:
    num = random.randint(1, 99)
    if even_odd(num) == True:
        print("{} is even".format(num))
    else:
        print("{} is odd".format(num))
    start = start - 1

I hope this helps.

I've tried it in this way:

import random start = 5 while start >0: num = random.randint(1, 99) if even_odd(num) == True: print("{} is even").format(num) else: print("{} is odd").format(num) start = start - 1 def even_odd(num): # If % 2 is 0, the number is even. # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not. return not num % 2

but still doesn't work. Any idea why?

For me this passed :

import random
start = 5
def even_odd(num):
    # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
    # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
    return not num % 2
while start > 0:
    num = random.randint(1, 99)
    if even_odd(num) == True:
        print("{} is even".format(num))
    else:
        print("{} is odd".format(num))
    start= start - 1

input number

def main():

num = int(input("hey number please!: "))
even_odd = num % 2

    # determine if even or odd
if even_odd == 0:
    # print result
    print("{} is a even number!".format(num))
else:
    print("{} is a odd number!".format(num))

restart = input("Again: 'yes or no'").lower()
if restart == 'yes':
    main()
else:
    exit()

main()
