HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Create Navigation with Lists

Every time I complete task 1 it sends me to task 2 and tells me task 1 is no longer passing?

I'm working on "How to Make a Website" and the first task was to create a nav element for the link with an unordered list that had no names. I pass it and move on to the second task which is to add the names Portfolio, About and Contact to the list items. When I do this, it tells me task 1 is no longer completed. When I go back to task 1 and tell it to check my work again, it says everything is correct. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Timothy,

Your nav and ul elements need to go after the anchor tag. This means that you need to make the whole nav element after the closing anchor tag here, like this:

        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li>Portfolio</li>
          <li>About</li>
          <li>Contact</li>
        </ul>

Hey Ryan, thank you for responding so fast! I went back and watched the video again and saw as you just mentioned that my <nav> tags were in the wrong place. I guess I should try that first next time before asking you guys. Sorry, and thanks again!
