Failing strlen.py challenge, yet code works in workspace

Hi, having a problem with the strlen.py challenge.

I copied and pasted my code into a new file in my workspace, and got the following output, which proves that the code does what it should.

def just_right(arg): if len(arg) < 5: print("Your string is too short") elif len(arg) > 5: print("Your string is too long") else: return True

just_right("blue")

just_right("purple")

print(just_right("green"))

CONSOLE: treehouse:~/workspace$ python trythis.py
Your string is too short
Your string is too long
True

Any clues as to why this code does not pass the challenge would be appreciated please.

strlen.py
def just_right(arg):
  if len(arg) < 5:
    print("Your string is too short")
  elif len(arg) > 5:
    print("Your string is too long")
  else:
    return True

Hey Michael,

You are receiving the "Bummer" in the code challenge simply because it is asking you to return the strings, but you are using print. Change those two prints to returns and you're good to go.

Keep Coding! :)

Thanks Jason.

Another moment where I should have grabbed a coffee I guess.
