5,041 PointsThe first part of the challenge is asking you to make the variable id to all upper case and assign the new value to username. You are on the right track, just drop the parenthesis surrounding the variable assignment.
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
For the second part you want to concate the # symbol to the lastName and then concate the lastName variable to the userName. Remember we use the + symbol for that. and in this case # is a string item, so we need quotes around it.
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();
