First post! removing underlining from links

Hey! just wanted to see what this discussion function was like. I'm having some minor trouble removing the underlining from my text links. attempts have included: head{text-decoration: none;} h1{text-decoration: none;} html{text-decoration: none;} Thank you for your patience!
