First step to Android Developer?

Hello, My name is Nin.

I've just started Basic Android Track after I've finished the Digital Literacy. I've finished 3 steps from "Build a simple Android app" and I find it very confusing sometimes. I can pass quizzes but to be honest, I don't understand 100%

My question is should I go back to study some Basic Java first? I think It'll be better to get a solid background first before moving on. And will Treehouse recommend a next track after this? Maybe I'm more fitted for the Web Developer but I can't find the link about Treehouse's guide to IT classed (Mobile App, Web App, and Web Devs choices).

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you for all answers! Sorry for bad English. I'm not a native.

Hi Joranin.

I'm not sure what else you did before Digital Literacy but you're absolutely right when you say you should study the basics of Java first because this is the main language of Android. If you've not done it before I suggest you switch to the Learn Java track.

In this track you'll learn the basics of Java, Java Objects, Java Collections and how to use IDE's. Just bear in mind that the Java Objects course was recently updated. Search Java objects and if you see Java Objects (retired) in the list try the latest one.

Good luck :)

Thank you for your answer. I'll definitely switch my track before I build a bad root!

Last question, will I be able to resume my Android Track?

Thank you! ^^

Hi there,

Yes you can switch between and continue tracks from where you left off at any time :)

Thank you so much, Mr. Jonathan Grieve.

Now, I'm excited to code again! Yay!
