Although i agree and understand that IE 7 is dead right now some of the computers in my organization still have Internet Explore 8 which is why is important for websites to work in that browser.
I understand that the reason why it has displays problems is because IE 7 and IE8 do not support HTML5 so it does not recognize the tags nav, section, main, or even footer.
I know that there is a patch using javascript that will fix this problem. Is there anyway that you guys could put it here so that people can see it?
Thank you

27,930 PointsHi,
just spotted your post and was alarmed so took a look here it got worse even IE9 isnt good, quite a frightening fact really.
Why are they allowed to lag so far behind the other browsers, it makes things more difficult for us as developers and designers which gets looped round to affect the users which we are all in this for ....
I'm not sure what is the best way to combat this and have not know of the issue hopefully a MOD or Teacher can pick up o this and enlighten me to the best solution.

6,031 PointsI would suggest checking out http://modernizr.com/.
"Modernizr runs through a little loop in JavaScript to enable the various elements from HTML5 (as well as abbr) for styling in Internet Explorer. Note that this does not mean it suddenly makes IE support the audio or video element, it just means that you can use section instead of div and style them in CSS"
