Floating point numbers

The code challenge did not recognize 199.00 as a floating point number. Please, why is that?

Hi,

As javascript is not a strictly typed language the interpreter simply converted your number into an integer when it found out you have 00 after the decimal point. Try this simple example program to better understand how it works:

var a = 199.00

console.log(a);                   // <- 199
console.log(Number.isInteger(a)); // <- true

a = 199.01

console.log(a);                   // <- 199.01
console.log(Number.isInteger(a)); // <- false
