.format()

What am I doing wrong, I've looked at the video multiple times and still can't figure it out. it wants me to "OK, so now use .format() on the string "Treehouse loves {}" to put your name into the placeholder. Assign this to the variable subject again." and then just says Bummer! Be sure to use the {} placeholder and the .format() method."

strings.py
name = "Shawn"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}"
print(subject.format(name))

Hi Shawn,

Use the format method directly on the string and pass in your name variable as a parameter. The parameter is inserted where the curly braces are within the string - they act as a placeholder, so the contents of the variable name will be inserted where the {} are. Something like:

subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

Let me know how you get on.

Steve.
