Front End Web Developer Portfolio - What do you need?

I would like to start applying for some jobs to be a Front End Web Developer, but what do I need for my portfolio? Also is GitHub the best website to use for a coding portfolio?

Hey Josh. I recommend you to

  • Search from free PSD templates and try to convert them to code using all the technologies you know.
  • Make a fictional company and create a web page for it.
  • Make web sites for your friends.
  • Try to find local companies that need web pages.

When you are done, add them to your portfolio (preferably a web page).
