frustrations....mamp mac and wordpress.....wheres the wamp pc and wordpress?

this video (as do the videos for installing PHP onto the machine in another track) is focusing on mamp macs and not wam and pc machinesi'm on a pc and my directories look NOTHING like Alena Holligan described and mamp doesn't seem to work as good as wamp does so i have issues there. how about doing an install video for us and quit ignoring windows users?

The directory will differ computer from the computer. It's never going to be the same.

This is an excellent challenge however! I'm using a Windows computer and MAMP works fine.

You can use XAMP or WAMP for local server as well.

I will suggest to try and figure this on your own, it's very easy and you'll learn more by doing it without a hand.

I'll give you a tip. Install a local server on your pc, and look for proerties or look in it's files. It's the same as for Mac and Windows.

Look for htdocs and that's what will display.

To acces the server, write localhost in the url. Or localhost:8080 or whatever the port is set up.

Hope that helps! I would really try and google this out.

If you have any problems just hit the threat again :)

well your in luck. You should try Local by Flywheel. a solid local dev setup. local and for windows too!
