Function not working? I wrote down the block of code the exact same way it's telling me to and yet it won't let me pass

Hi Jarrel! You're doing just fine, but you missed part of the instructions, I believe. The last line of the instructions says to return the value. However, your function is missing a return statement.

return year;

This line should be inside your function to return the value of the year variable. I'll leave the placement up to you. Good luck! :sparkles:

Also, it should be getFullYear() (with a capital 'Y').
