JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Create a max() Function

Function with conditional Statements, could anyone help

Create a new function named max which accepts two numbers as arguments (you can name the arguments, whatever you would like). The function should return the larger of the two numbers.

HINT: You'll need to use a conditional statement to test the 2 parameters to see which is the larger of the two. I don't know how to incorporate the conditional in the function so to access their value

max(){ }

script.js
up

function max (up,down) if (up<down){ return up}
  else{ return down}

Hi, first, when you declare a function u need to use curly brackets and then everything inside those brackets can use the variables declared in the function paracentesis.

second, if up < down then you should return down as the bigger is down,

an example of the solution could be like this:

function max (up, down) { if (up > down) { return up; } else { return down; } }

Perfect, thanks.
