1,410 PointsFunction working as intended in workspace, fails check (Teachers)
In the workspace, the function (second in the code snippet) I wrote meets the requirement of:
The function should return the total number of courses for all of the teachers.
I've tried adding additional dictionary keys and values (teachers and courses, specifically), and it faithfully returns the total number of courses.
Any idea what the function is missing? Am I misinterpreting the requirement?
# The dictionary will look something like:
# {'Andrew Chalkley': ['jQuery Basics', 'Node.js Basics'],
# 'Kenneth Love': ['Python Basics', 'Python Collections']}
#
# Each key will be a Teacher and the value will be a list of courses.
#
# Your code goes below here.
def num_teachers(dict):
count = 0
for teacher in dict:
count +=1
return count
def num_courses(dict):
count = 0
for teacher in dict:
count +=len(dict[teacher])
return count
