Functions

what's wrong in this code?

function getYear() {
  var year = new Date().getFullYear();
}

The thing is that you're not returning anything from the function itself, so when you call it, it wont return anything

Return needs to be inside the function to return the value generated by the function. Then you call the function and assign it to a new variable, like this:

function getYear() {
  var year = new Date().getFullYear();
  return year;
}

var yearToday = getYear();

function getYear() { var year = new Date().getFullYear(); return year(); } var yearToday = getYear();

but still its not working.

Thank You.Its working
