HTML How to Make a Website Styling Web Pages and Navigation Make a CSS Image Gallery

gallery list text change

I don't get it what is wrong.

css/main.css
a {
  text-decoration: none;
}

#wrapper {
  max-width: 940px;
  margin: 0 auto;
}

img{
  max-width: 100%;
}

#logo {
  text-align: center;
  margin: 0;
}

#gallery {
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;
  list-style: none;
}

#gallery li {
  float: left;
  width: 45%;
  margin: 2.5%;
  background-color: f5f5f5;
}

#gallery li p{
 color: #bdc3c7;
}

h1, h2 {
  color: #fff;
}

nav a {
  color: #fff;
}

nav a:hover {
  color: #32673f;
}

h1 {
  font-family: Changa One, sans-serif;
  font-size: 1.75em;
  font-weight: normal;
}

I finally got it!

gallery li {

float: left; width: 45%; margin: 2.5%; background-color: f5f5f5;

I should have put the # in front of f5f5f5.

Hi Grace,

Check your background colour value, it's missing something important! ? Also, there's no need to specify the P tag in this challenge, the list items are already selected, just add them a colour of your choice.

Should look something like this:

#gallery li {
  float: left;
  width: 45%;
  margin: 2.5%;
  color: yellow;
  background-color: tomato;
}

Keep on hacking ?

Thank you Michael!
