Game programming

I haven't seen much game programming on this site, what site would I go to to learn game programming?

You can check out the mobile game course for iOS. If you're looking for higher level game programming, MIT offers open courseware on game programming, covering topics like AI, and algorithms.

Alexjacobs,

I would like to add on top of Mr. Cuckoo's comment that if you want to learn it on your spare time, you can obtain books and tutorials about Game Programming. I am a graduate of DeVry University for Game and Simulation Programming and while having a degree is great, building something is just as good. In the gaming industry, you can get noticed and obtain a good-paying job by just programming mods for certain games, designing levels, and even providing feedback to the game company. There have been some people that have gotten good positions in gaming companies by just getting noticed and never even going to college. Of course, having a degree will guarantee that you will get noticed since it is a prerequisite in certain high-profile gaming companies.

Just remember, you can and should go to school for programming, but you can also learn from books that's a lot cheaper and still obtain a job. It just may take a lot longer and you will have to be good. Hope this helps you somewhat.

Cheers!
