My code for AJAX Basics Challenge Task one looks as follows. I don't know that I am doing wrong here?
var xhr = new XMLHttpRequest();
xhr.onreadystatechange = function() {
if (xhr.readyState === 4) {
if (xhr.status === 200) {
}
}
};
var ele = document.getElementById('sidebar');
xhr.open('GET', 'sidebar.html');
xhr.send();

10,343 PointsTry this:
document.getElementById("sidebar").innerHTML = request.responseText;
inside the if xhr === 200 statement. Without the .innerHTML it will just save the selected element in a variable whereas here you want to display the response on the page using .innerHTML
