I was wondering how easy is it for someone to get a coding job without a coding degree, and does having a degree in general help a great deal?
Right now, I have an AS in networking, and I'm starting a BS in networking. Most recently, I found I actually prefer coding to most other things. I'm trying to figure out how I can get a good coding job

depends on the company. If you apply to NASA, requirements are different than for a local web dev company.
Perhaps start by talking to the local web dev company about what they're looking for. Usually, they have some openings on their website. So you can see the qualifications they are looking for. If the qualifications aren't a good fit with your skills. Look for another local dev company. After 6 months working there, you should be able to upgrade. To another job or another more difficult project.

Right now I'm going for a BS in networking, but that's because I flat out can't afford to go the extra years to get a CS degree. Networking was the only 2x2.

Like Robert mentioned above, some of getting a development job will depend on the company and they may have requirements for a degree in CS. However, that being said, the amount of tech and coding jobs that will go unfilled over the coming years will be great due to a dearth of knowledgeable individuals. Tech companies have often hired based on skills/know-how more than a degree, and with the gap in talent widening and tech jobs in all sectors, requirements are becoming looser and looser- if you can code, you will find a job.
