Getting an error about a null object

Im just trying to make inputValue equal the text input of an <input> tag in the html file, and ofcourse its going to be blank, so I don't know how to work around the problem. Help is much appreciated thank you

Your script is looking for linkname to retrieve value from, but it doesn't exist. Your input box is named linkName.

Your have the right idea, but just a small typo.

Property names are case-sensitive, and you wrote "linkname" (with a little "n') instead of "linkName" (with a capital "N").
