"Getting and Setting Text with textContent and innerHTML" video: I keep receiving TypeError message

I'm trying to follow along and I'm typing in the console:

let myHeading = document.querySelector('h1');

and then:

myHeading.textContent;

But I keep receiving the message

"TypeError: myHeading is undefined".

Why? And what can I do to solve it? I'm using Firefox browser.

Two issues come to mind:

  • do you have an h1 element in the HTML code?
  • what is the line "myHeading.textContent;" for? It accesses the property but does nothing.

For issues dealing with multiple files, it might be better to make a snapshot of your workspace and post the link to it here.
