getting error in the second question

getting error in the second question of clearing the left side of 4th element in the list in html using the nth-child pseudo selector

tried this

gallery li: nth-child(4n) { clear: left; }

but it didnt work

still gives error .....

Try the following;

gallery li:nth-child(4n + 4) {clear: left;}

Remove the space between 'li: nth', add the + 4 in-order to select the 8th, 12th, 16th .... "li's"

Disregarding the previous suggestion, you already got it right except for one little typo:

:point_right: There should be no space between the colon and the name in :nth-child
