Give the paragraph a border that is 4px wide, solid and red.

.main-pg { <p = color red> border; solid 4px } can someone please assist with what Im doing wrong

You should not include the <p> tags in your css. You can apply all the rules by typing:

border: 4px solid red;

If you type that and remove the <p> tags it should work out for you.
