Glitch, prompts me to restart step 2, check work = Correct, go forward prompts again.

Not sure why it wants me to restart step 2 again, when I have echo'd the code onto the screen.

<?php

$firstName = 'Rasmus';
$lastName = 'Lerdorf';
$fullname = "$firstName" . " $lastName";
$fullname .= ' was the original creator of PHP';

Hello Cory,

When printing the statement to the screen you add the statement to echo statement and not to the $fullname variable. Below is the code I used in the challenge but I left the escape character out.

<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = 'Rasmus';
$lastName = 'Lerdorf';
$fullname = "$firstName $lastName";
echo $fullname . " was the original creator of PHP";

?>
