Google analytics on Heroku Rails app

I have a simple rails app on heroku and wanted to know the best way to add google analytics, I've done some searching and seems some people have it in a separate partial e.g. _analytics.html.haml

Wanted to know if there's a better way or is this generally the best way to do it?
