Gradle project refresh failed (android studio)[SOLVED]

Error:C:\Users\Derek.gradle\caches\2.4\scripts\settings_1aloqn980dswoi5o8hlkd3uyz\SettingsScript\buildscript\cache.properties (The system cannot find the file specified)

That's the error I keep receiving when opening up my project on android studio, any help is appreciated.

To fix this I went into C:\Users\username and I deleted the .gradle file and closed and reopened android studio and it recreated the .gradle file for me and also took care of the missing file error.
