Ruby Ruby Collections Build a Grocery List Program Working with Hashes That Contain Arrays

Hashes assigning or using method

Hi classmates,

Can I check the following 2 approaches reach same solution?

Add the grocery_item hash to the items array inside of the grocery_list hash.

grocery_list['items'].push(grocery_item)

or

grocery_list ['items'] = grocery_item

Thank you

#push is an array method. In your first example, you're adding grocery_item to an array referenced by grocery_list['items']. In your second example, you're assigning the value of grocery_list['items'] to be grocery_item. So, no, they're not equivalent.
