2,496 Pointshas_pulp is an attribute of Orange but I'm not sure why it cannot be accessed in method
Why is the answer False?

Chris Freeman
Treehouse Moderator 68,457 PointsIn the code:
class Orange(Fruit):
has_pulp = True
def squeeze(self):
return has_pulp
The method is referring to has_pulp
instead of self.has_pulp
. Using just has_pulp
refers a non-existent local variable. So, return has_pulp
raises a NameError
. This means neither False
or True
is returned.
Hence, the quiz answer to the question "Orange().squeeze() will return True.
" is "False"
