Have no idea what's wrong with my script.

Create a new function named just_right that takes a single argument, a string. If the length of the string is less than five characters, return "Your string is too short". If the string is longer than five characters, return "Your string is too long". Otherwise, just return True.

strlen.py 
def just_right(a_string):
    a_list = a_string.split()
    if len(a_list) < 5:
        print("Your string is too short")
    elif len(a_list) > 5:
        print("Your string is too long")
    else:
        return True

You want to get and compare the length of a string here, not a list of words!

the challenge asks you to return the statements, not print them. also, you can check the length of a string directly with len, no need to cast to a list.
