4,621 PointsHaving problems finding a direction...
I have been enrolled in treehouse for quite some time, with the intent to ultimately become a freelance developer. I'm finding myself lost in a sea of information and cant seem to find the path for me. I've taken many courses of many varieties on treehouse and feel as if I have a very basic understanding. I'm wanting to just learn enough to make money on the side using sites like freelancer and others for now, but would like this to eventually be all my income as I currently have a full time job. I guess my question would be which language to really focus on that's going to take me to places where I have an opportunity to make good money, learn about other languages and have work readily available. I find all of the courses I've taken very interesting and am very hungry to learn. I also would like to know a good site I can use to learn a lot about the industry and staying posted with the times. Any response would be very much greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, Jacob K

11,613 PointsWell that all depends on what your end goal is. For example, my end goal is to work as a front end developer. Therefore, I am on the front end developer track to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (as well as Git and some jquery later). In short, you should figure out what you ultimately want to do, and find what languages you need to learn for it. I'm sure Treehouse has a track that will push you in the direction that you need to go.
