Having trouble with this question.

I'm at a loss. This section is really confusing me. This is what I had in my notes but it is saying it is incorrect. Am I missing something in writing this code?

function getYear(){

<head>

It looks like your function getYear is missing the closing bracket.

Hi Sherry,

Thought I would have a go at the challenge to see what was going on...

function getYear() {
  var year = new Date().getFullYear();
  return year;
}

var yearToday = getYear();

The above should get you going again.
