ok got it using http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator#css

Has errors in the following areas: 13 #wrapper Value Error : padding Lexical error at line 13, column 17. Encountered: "%" (37), after : "" %5; 14 #wrapper Value Error : padding Parse Error } 33 header Value Error : float attempt to find a semi-colon before the property name. add it 34 header Value Error : left attempt to find a semi-colon before the property name. add it 48 h1 Value Error : margin only 0 can be a length. You must put a unit after your number : 15 px 0

You problems are occurring because you have all your header styles to be executed only AFTER the screen's width is larger than 660px wide. if you want the styles to show no matter what width the screen is then you can remove the media query the styles are in and put the styles at the top of your CSS.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately didn't work. You are right that the header line stays the same however the header info disappears (ie name, portfolio, about, contact) Also tried copying and pasting your code direct and didnt work. I'm really confused.
