Header tag

I can't figure out where the header tag is?

Theres a difference between the header and head tag. Post your code.

If you are referring to a html <header> ... </header> tag than you use it inside html <body> ... </body> usually for things like branding and your navigation many.

You might be referring to html <head> ... </head> tag, this one is located within your html tag, before a body one and within it we declare metadata like page title, authors, description etc as well as link up css file, favicons and sometimes javascript etc..

Finally you might be referring to heading tags such as html <h1> <h2> etc.. (It's hard to understand what you are asking for) these are used for titles, headings etc.. and can be located anywhere in the code (within body) depending on a website structure.
