hello, I want to let you know some terrifying issues with autograder with treehouse. in past I failed the code challenge with c# basics of which I spend several nights to pass the quiz. but I gave up. not long ago, I try to pass code challenge with DOM on javascript, and it was something like ..('#.., li'); but the auder grader adds )) on my answer that I never typed in. but I tried to submit it without '))' for all night. but auto grader has been adding '))' that I never type in. so I changed my computer with window based to type in my answer to pass the quiz. but I got abominated by this sort of diabolic prank to redound me to give the freaking DOM course. today I switch to php beginning course, but auto grader continue to fail me for the answer that has no problem of syntax checking with browser. I am an old dude who gets enough income from real -estate investment to devote all my time to learn coding to prescind life-style of dogs who watch move and take naps everyday. but I want you guys to advise me cos I am obnubilated a big time. treehouse is only one of my many options cos I got courses with Coursera, Edx, Lynda stuff like that. but with treehouse, I like many cool instructors like Dave teaching Javascript. can anyone give me wise thoughts?

Hi Eugene, I sympathize with your frustration since one of the code challenges within the php track, it wouldn't accept my answer due to having a large chunk of commented out code even tho I had the correct code visible.

I'm not entirely sure why it would be adding '))' to your entries. Is it still doing that with the php course? Could you provide the code and challenge you are referring to?

thanks. Brian I had bizzar experience with auto grader. I have been completed all JavaScript courses with Dave who is one of the best teacher until I got into DOM course with different teacher. on one of the DOM quiz, I provided answer something like ..('#.. li') .., but auto-grader failed with the message that added '))' that I never typed in for whole night during I tried to pass this huddle. eventually, on following day, I switched to window 7 laptop to answer same question to pass the question. this time auto -grader didn't add extra ) to my answer. I lost my appetite to continue this DOM with new guy teaching. I already completed learn javascript course with Code -academy that is running classes on succorance on auto -grader. I never had issue with the grader adding ) to my answer to eventuate me to flunk. however, today I switch to php beginning to run into similar issue with auto-grader to fail me on correct answer. in past, I finished 98% of c# course until final code challenge in which auto grader is rejecting anything such as while loop or for loop for the task of which loop is required. right now I don't do coding for living. I don't live up with treehouse. but I want to give it another try. can you advise me with wise option to cope with unpleasant issue. thanks
