Python Python Collections (2016, retired 2019) Tuples Combo

Hello, the auto-grader will not accept my function, which yields the correct output.

Please be more clear with the task definition as to which type of implementation is accepted. Thank you.

combo.py
# combo([1, 2, 3], 'abc')
# Output:
# [(1, 'a'), (2, 'b'), (3, 'c')]

# combo([1, 2, 3], 'abc')
# Output:
# [(1, 'a'), (2, 'b'), (3, 'c')]
bList = []
def combo(a,b):
    for index, value in enumerate(a):
        bList.append((value, b[index]))
    return bList

Thanks James. Declaring the list inside the function worked. Nice to know the auto-grader would only work if everything is declared in the function scope.
