HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help I can't seem to find the display button alongside with the text button.....and please provide me a steps on how to import and open your file.. I can't follow along with your tutorial, it seems like you skipped something? Like basic steps on how to open files and where to properly locate them.. please I need help :( I'm a beginner on this series of your tutorials.
