Please advise on what syntax to use.

ruby.rb 
def check_speed(car_speed)
  if  car_speed >= 40 && car_speed <= 50
      puts check_speed
  end

You will want to return check_speed like below;

return check_speed

Hi ! after checking the challenge, the check_speed method is supposed to return 'safe' if car_speed is between 40 and 50. So you should replace puts check_speed by : return 'safe'. In Ruby if you want a method to return an expression, use 'return' instead of printing the expression with 'puts'...
