COUNT will only return one value, putting DISTINCT next to it will have no effect.

:point_right: Putting DISTINCT inside COUNT will count the unique genres instead of the total:

SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT genre) AS total_genres FROM books;

For future issues, use the "get help" button in the challenge to automatically include your code and a link to the challenge itself.

It would be better to attach the challenge directly & add the code in that same window. We cant try it out with a snapshot.

It doesn't work for me for some reason.
