One: float method only takes one argument, not two. So apply the float variable individually. I changed the arguments to floats in the function.

phrase1 = float(phrase1)

Two: return does not require brackets, unless you're using python2 and you're not.

return "Hello!"

Your answer is not far from correct. Let me know if this helps.

Actually, using parentheses is fine with Python 3.
