Hi Zara!

This is the code that you will need. The problem you had with this challenge is that you are getting ahead of yourself, you don't need to link the images yet.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>
    </header>
    <section>
      <ul>
        <li><img src="img/numbers-01.jpg"></li>
        <li><img src="img/numbers-02.jpg"></li>
        <li><img src="img/numbers-06.jpg"></li>
      </ul>
    </section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

Thanks!

hey Zara Saldanha , you're code is right and wrong (for the challenge) at the same time ;) in fact you inserted the images correctly but next to the images you also added in links and paragraphs. as this was not part of the challenge when the system is checking your code and notices other things that it expected it shows the error message.

that's your current code (first of the 3 images):

<li>
 <a href="img/numbers-01.jpg">
   <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt="">
     <p> </p>
  </a>
 </li>

while all the challenge wants / needs is this:

<li>
   <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt="">
 </li>

the same goes for the other 2 images as well. if you remove that part of additional markup your code should pass just fine. hope that helps and have a nice day ;)
