Help on the second part of this challenge

I cannot figure out how to complete the second part of this question. I think I understand how to add the "#" but not the lastName part.

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName += "#" + lastName;

You forgot the case conversion.

You added the lastName just fine, you just forgot to convert it to upper case like you did with the id.
