Help with Task 2 of 2

I'm not sure how to answer the second part of this task. After several tries I keep getting the same error message saying that Part 1 of the task is no longer working when I add the second part of the solution (which I really have no idea how to answer). All help would be much appreciated - thanks

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
lastName.toUpperCase();
username + "#" + lastname;

Hey,

So it looks like you need to assign the whole thing to the variable userName. For example:

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();

Try that.
