can you help me with this passage?

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li>

            <a href="portfolio.html" portfolio</a>
            <a href:="about.html" about</a>
            <a href:="contact.html" contact</a>
          </li>
        </ul>
      </nav>
    </header>
    <section></section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>
<a href:="about.html" about</a>

Should be:

<a href="about.html">About</a>

Remove the : after href and an ending >.

Also check your capitalization on the list labels.

Hey Matteo,

there are a few problems in your code. You have to create a list item for all of the three different words (Portfolio, About, Contact). You also didn't close your opening anchor tag and you have to remove the colon in front of the = at the href attribute for About and Contact. And please also note that you don't have to add the links in the second task but in the third task.

So for the second task it should just look like this:

        <ul>
          <li>Portfolio</li>
          <li>About</li>
          <li>Contact</li>
        </ul>

and for the third task like this:

        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>

I hope that helps, good luck! :)
