JavaScript JavaScript and the DOM (Retiring) Responding to User Interaction Event Delegation

Hey guys. I'm trying to figure out if the "className" property adds a class name or does it change the current class?

I've been testing it out in the DOM and It doesn't appear to add anything. Am I just missing something or does it not add a class but rather changes it. If so how would I add a class to an element without removing its original class?

To add a new class without affecting any already present:

myElement.classList.add("newClassName");
