Hey Daniel Liew Yew Onn, good question. When Craig is saying “make sure I’m balanced” he’s speaking of “balancing the parentheses” or making sure that there are the correct number of closing parens to match, or balance each opening paren.

The why and when are to avoid syntax errors, and always.**

**the balancing may be across multiple lines as parens can be used encapsulate a complex statement over multiple lines. That is, new line characters are ignored while the parentheses are not balanced. The parser will go to the end of file (EOF) in search of a closing paren, square or curly bracket!

Post back if you need more help. Good luck!!!
