Hi guys for some reason I'm not passing the task. I can't spot any syntax errors....?

I don't see the problem

app.js
var answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?')

if ( answer === 'JavaScript' ) {
  alert("You are correct")
}else{
  alert("JavaScript is the best language!")
index.html

You are missing a closing curly brace for the else clause.

EDIT: You are also missing semicolons, but they aren't required in JS. I highly recommend getting into the habit of using them, though, since they are conventional.

var answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?');

if ( answer === 'JavaScript' ) {
  alert("You are correct");
}else{
  alert("JavaScript is the best language!");
}

You missed the ; after your alert statements. Above code should be correct. Hope this helps.
