hi guys. So i written the code that i think is correct and variable xhr is not good....

can anyone help me please

The variable xhr is not declared. You need to use the request variable instead.

var request = new XMLHttpRequest();
request.onreadystatechange = function () {
  if (request.readyState === 4) {
    document.getElementById("footer").innerHTML = request.responseText;
  }
};
request.open('GET', 'footer.html');
