Android Build a Simple Android App (2014) Getting Started with Android Running the Fun Facts Project

Hi, I can get AVD to work on my windows 8 version of the Android App builder please help. - Ryan

When I click on the button to open the AVD the load screen shows up, but when its done nothing shows up on the screen. My operating system is Windows 8.

If I were you I would not even bother with AVD and just use Genymotion. Genymotion is a third party emulator that is leaps and bounds better than AVD. There is an android tools course with a section called getting started with genymotion that will show you how to set it up step by step. It is so much faster and easier than AVD. definitely use genymotion. the difference is incredible
